New Car Day

Long time lurker, first time poster...

My “new” 28i, collected earlier this week. Following family tradition a new car dictates a trip to the Trough of Bowland, undertaken yesterday, with a hearty lunch at Whitewell.

Put a big grin on my face, very pleased so far.

Thanks everyone... was lucky the first weekend after getting it was fairly sunny, so no doubt it needed the roof down.

Have been reading the forum for a good while, so very much appreciate all the knowledge to be found on here.

LCI indicators now on order, as are some new mats.

Probably shouldn’t confess though that I was fifteen minutes late for a meeting on Thursday morning when I couldn’t work out how actually to start the engine... doh! :headbang: :headbang:

The trough run to Lancaster is one of my regular trips and the Inn at Whitewell is a beautiful place to stop off.

Are you local?

Congratulations - your car looks stunning in that colour combination.

Reasonably local- just north of Liverpool. Been a family rule to take a new car up to the Trough since my Dads time in the 60s with his Austin 1100.

It's not a commonly known area, your dad had great taste and its passed on with your zed, my daughter is at Lancaster uni, I can do it in 30 mins on the motorway, 50 mins on the clitheroe via trough route, in a zed though only one way to go :driving:

Good spot with the inn at Whitewell though, one of the finest

Yeah it’s nice bit of the world for sure, and a tradition I’m always happy to keep up.

At Whitewell I parked up behind a pretty nice Aston... but of course he didn’t have the sky for a roof.

Next time you buy a car give me a shout, I'd happily join you there

Welcome to the forum, nice looking Z4 PJR. My daughter is also at Lancaster Uni, Zforbes but it takes me 6 hours to get up there. :D
