New car coming! (now arrived!!).

It was for sale for a while at my local dealer but it has now gone off their site. Not sure if it went to a buyer or BMW auction as they had it for sale for a few months.
 
Just an update on my Z4 as I've had it almost a year now. About to hit 17,600 miles now and going stronger than ever!

Things that have happened to it so far:

I had a fault that caused the car to go into limp home mode (a common one apparently. Fuel pump I think) after only 2 days of ownership! Sorted by dealer, no further problems.

Had a new roof boot tray under warranty because it split apart on one edge. Probably someone being heavy handed at the dealers!

New rear tyres at around 12-13,000 miles. Fronts still good.

1 litre of oil added around 14,000 (computer indicator advice) hasn't used any since.

A few little stone chips on the front, bonnet and side skirts now. Not really noticeable but will get them sorted at some point (if I can be bothered!).

So far so good. Very happy with it still. :)

There was a really good Chip company at the Santa Pod place - Chip Ex or something like that, 3 stage and away you go, for about £40. paint colour is bespoke so about to order some - my car is White with White Design = and I have some chips on the front.

Had my car 2 weeks now and loving it - although not the comfiest ride on the 19 RF, but then again I had 2 6 Series on 19 RF's before so I knew what to expect.

Things I love? The looks, especially with the roof up.....the long bonnet.

Things I don't like? The amber front halos - and thats about it.

Also I love the way I appreciate the ride in my Range after driving the 35.....

Would be good to have a photo shoot of a few of the new Z's....

The plastic brackets that hold the steel frame on mine snapped at the joints they replaced the whole unit under warranty a few weeks ago, dealer said they had changed a few

Have done 15,000 miles and still have 5 mm or so left on the rears, obviously not driving with enough enthusiasm :D

My car has now covered 3,500 miles and rear tyres got average of 6.5 mm left. I will be lucky to get 15,000 miles from them. :headbang: M sport suspension setting wears out rear tyres more quickly. :D
 
:driving: Respect! Nice car buy the sounds of things and refreshing to read a "bought" post rather than a "selling" post! :o
