Hi everyone, longtime lurker first time poster! While I've owned BMWs for a while, I've only just discovered Zeds in the last couple years. It started innocently enough two summers ago when I saw an ad for a very well kept 2007 3.0si roadster for an extremely low price. It was 5 hours away but I thought what the heck, I'll go look at it and if it's reasonable, I'll buy it and flip it to make a few bucks. A few months later I realized that I was really enjoying the car and there was no way I was going to flip it!

Fast forward to last spring and I came across another ad for a coupe that was clear across the country. Some background... 3.0si coupes were not available in Canada new for some reason. This one was sold originally in Florida. After researching coupes (I had never seen one in person) a deal was made! I flew out to get it and drive it back. Looking back, driving a 17 year old, sight unseen, used BMW 3000km back home was teetering on craziness! The trip went off without a hitch thanks to the incredible previous owner that made sure it was in top notch condition!

I've been reading this site for a while and was impressed with the knowledge and friendliness from the members. It was time to join! Thanks for reading and accepting me on the board!

So that’s two Z4s?

Enjoy :driving:

Welcome to Trump’s 57th State …(I’m sure he’s going to annexe the Z4 Forum too)..

It's -41C here this morning. The cars are tucked away for a couple more months. :(

Thanks!
Yes, along with 187 M coupes and 321 M roadsters. Very odd that no 3.0si coupes were sold here.

I'm sorry....WHAT?

Did you say it's MINUS 41 degrees centigrade?

In Canada he is probably referring to -41 Fahrenheit - still brass monkey weather though!

-41 is roughly the same in C or F.
I think Canada use the metric system, only their (nearest and dearest) neighbours use 'old money'.

Add on the 25% tariff

I have worked in a few blast freezers in my time. They work at around -40. Ten minutes with thick coat, boots, gloves, hat was the most I could do at a time.
That sort of temperature takes your breath away, literally! Give me dreary UK winters any day.

Celsius but at -41 it's virtually the same as -41 Fahrenheit. It's warmed to a balmy -29 this afternoon but back down to -40C tonight.
Sadly talking about Zeds is all I'm able to do right now!
