New "Calibra"

If it's like the 4 door, it'll look good in pictures and rubbish in the flesh.

Plus being a snob it's a Vauxhall. (never owned one, they have never done it for me) once had a 1.7TD Cavalier as a hire car the slowest thing it's ever been my misfortune to drive and a 1st generation Vectra which was just about the worst car I have ever driven, convinced to this day it had custard in the steering system and not Hydraulic oil so little feel.

I have a soft spot for Mantas to and owned a 1979 Berlinetta, would love to buy a late GT/E Coupe or a 4x4 Calibra never owend one but lovely looking car.

I quite like that, though my family have had far too many vauxhalls in the past (and present) I couldnt possibly follow now :D

Yeah the hatch was pants! I always wanted a white one, but settled for red in the end. TBH they are still very sought after so finding a really good one would be the thick end of £8-10k and as a toy that is just crazy. Also, although the shape was updated they're essentially 70s tech, and 110bhp (IIRC) aint' that much any more.

Incidentally I was behind a beautiful restored i200 in white a couple of weeks ago on the A59 towards Preston, now that is a rare Manta indeed :) I was trying to get close enough to stop the driver for a chat but I think he thought I was just a crazy fool trying to race him so he kept flooring it.

Check out this i240 @ £15k

Not bad but looks like a big Astra the Origonal Calibra had a shape of its own compared to the rest of the Vauxhall range even though it did use same dash as the Cavalier and to be honest would rather have my old Calibra than that one.

Would i swap one for my Z4 never in a million years

My first car was a Chevette and the wife has a diesel Astra but as has been said , it looks like an Insignia....but not as good IMO
