So, its coming to the time i need to look at replacing all discs and pads. On previous car i had Brembo discs and Ferodo ds2500 pads and they worked well

So for my Coupe 3.0 si i was looking at

Fronts
Discs - http://www.opieoils.co.uk/pv-100321...c6evdN1CQig7O335ewssynYvvbJphL5DB8aAlzK8P8HAQ
Pads - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferodo-Front-DS2500-Compound-Brake-Pad-Set-FCP1073H-/371242685790

Rears
Discs - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-DISCHI-...237919?hash=item3addcc029f:g:zYUAAOSwax5Y1iAU
Pads - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferodo-DS...108755?hash=item4b03038213:g:klwAAOSwc1FXZC6A
Shoes http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-BMW-1...000049?hash=item259655df31:g:QKkAAOSwGvhUKr~b

So do these all look correct, and would any one change these for other items discs im looking at £100 per set, and pads around £130 per set, the links wont necessarily be where i purchase from.

Lastly with the shoes am i best getting BMW or will Meyle do i couldnt find any other manufactures i heard of.

thanks

Do you need DS2500 race pads? If not, then you can get Brembo front & rear discs, with standard Pagid road pads and shoes for less than £270 all in from ECP (with Easter code EGG56).

cheers, how do you match the ecp brembo code to brembos? as i put car details in and it wouldnt come up with the brembos, google search found them but it never gave the actual brembo code on page

yer the ds2500 is probably a bit overkill but i do like having the performance of them should i need it

again how did you find the shoes on ecp? and is that kit or just pads?

Are the DS2500 road legal? As for performance when you need it, race type pads need warming so do exactly the opposite, though I don't know about these specifically.
Tyres will have more of an effect on stopping distance for road use.

i dont think they are "legal", but ran them on old car for over 6 years no issues.

the only issue was usually the first brake use of the day wasnt as good, after that spot on

i would class them more as fast road use

They're expensive if you're not going to see a track imho. For less money than just the fronts you could get a set of e-pads. You seem set on getting them so not sure why you'd ask for advice.

nothings set in stone, i just know what there like, previous car was similar weight but fwd, any suggesting i`ll look for reviews and go from there

the wear indicators havent triggered, but once some one confirms how you find the brembo part numbers on ecp i`ll order the discs and shoes this weekend then I've got em. The pads i can take bit more time on

DS2500s are fine for road use, but feel like wood if they don't have heat in them. I'd personally classify "performance when you need it" as when you need to do an emergency stop on the motorway after 20miles of no braking - that's when OE pads are significantly better as you don't have to second guess how much to bash the brake pedal!

Personally from experience of OE brembo pads on track and on the roads, I'd not bother with anything DS2500/Mintex1144 shaped unless you were doing more track stuff. You just wont (pronounced 'probably shouldn't') find the limits of performance of OE on the road in my experience...

When the results come up for brakes for your car (once you put your reg or model in) you can select a different brand on the right hand side. I think the default are the ones that ECP make the most money on.

I'm not sure what 'kit' you're asking about for the rear shoes, as it's just a set of brake shoes, so not sure what else you're expecting in there.

cheers id have never spotted that supplier thing on right, i thought it was just that cheap brand they listed

some pics ive seen of the shoes shows springs n bits

Can't remember what I got in my last set, as it's been a few years - but most pictures are for 'illustrative purposes only' and don't necessarily show what you're getting.

I've got epads but have not used them on track yet to gauge performance. If low cost is your priority then they're the ones for you.

im happy to pay for something if there better than standard or serve a purpose like cleaner wheels

how do you find them to standard ones

Have brembo pads and discs all round. Braking has been good although I haven't had to really work them. Dust production also seems good. Can't fault them at the moment for the price.
