Hi
I'd like to nominate myself as the most "Zed experienced" newbie.... I've had my E85 3.0 from new in 2004 and (apart from the Misses' occasional trips to Tesco) have driven all of it's c155k miles have enjoyed all of them except those associated with the death of the gearbox at 135k.....
For the "Zed-spotters" it's 3.0i SE Auto, Merlot Red, Beige Oregon Leather interior, sycamore wood dash, 18" composite star spoke wheel and just about every other option that I could tick...I still have a copy of the order form!
I still love the car; with a new gearbox run in and approaching it's 10th birthday, I'm considering a full re-furb to get back it's original beauty.
On the "to do" list at the moment are: a respray, wheel refurb, new driver's wing mirror (auto dimming/heated) and replacement of factory fitted (jammed) CD changer with something that will talk to current smart-phones for calls and music (I have bluetooth and professional nav, but an early specs that do not cooperate).
This list may grow and I'd welcome suggestions of (affordable) things to consider. I will no doubt have numerous questions; I'm keen, but have never done work on my own car before, so will outsource all but the most basic tasks.
I look forward to learning from you all!
Felix
