Just found this on Autocar..........mixed views for me, interior is nice as is the front, not sure about the rear hump though. The third photo gives the best view but overall it's hard to see the differences from the old model.

I think its absolutely gorgeous. The Carrera GT'esq scoops down the side give it some masculinity that the old-old model lacked so much. Interior though is still really bland when you compare it to the new Z4.

The long rear p o r s c h e badge on the back kind of makes me think of the crossfire - dont like that.

to each their own

I would not purchase that car. However, if that brown one was given to me, I put a bag over my head and drive it directly to the paint shop and get a some other color applied and sell it.

I like it, and I like the rear logo too....not keen on brown, but white with a brown interior would be good.....

They have designers at Porshe?

You mean someone is actually responsible for the Panemara and the Cayenne and not just threw up on a piece of paper.

Why oh why oh why do Porsche make everything on the inside the same colour, if you choose a red leather seats, you get red everything including the steering wheel. This is probably the only car where a black interior would be my preferred choice.

The more I look at the photos the more I agree with gannet

You have to select the two tone option to get that separated. I spent ages on the configuration to get a decent combo rather than just black / black or everything red or cream etc.

I agree with gannet - if Porsche only had one model and this was it then it would be very attractive, but because you know it is a 911esque front, a GT middle and a Cayman arse - it just looks recycled. With a nice new name style on the back. It's like they have one of those cardboard kids books with each page split into three so you can have a man's head with a woman's torso and a dogs legs (you're getting this right ? :? ) etc etc which they have put pics of their model range in and played with until they find a combination that they think looks 'fresh'. Not sure on the interior either, but in two tones it would be much better.

Overalla rating of - :| :| :|

Looks great to me - but then I like the current one. Couldn't own one though as it would annoy me too much that everyone calls them Boxters, instead of Boxsters.

With that in mind, any chance we can have the thread title edited?

I like most of that... Interior looks good but not in that colour. Like the hump over the rear arches much more likely to be a replacement for my E85 than an e89... in about 10 years time .

:tumbleweed: still waiting for the "new" Boxster. I've seen that stripe across the rear lights for sale in the "Chav and Bling" section of Halfords...
