any thoughts

ditch the runflats and buy the falken ones we all go on about ~150 from mytyres if i remember right.

i would aslo consider the khumo tyres as ive had them on other cars and found them good

i ditched the runflats for Falken 452.. 480 all in including fitting and some nice shiney valve caps :)

Over £800 not including fitting for run flats absolutely crazy. Just replaced the run flats on my Series 1 for Hankooks Ventura Prime2 non run flats and for 16" wheels they cost less than £300 fitted and the ride quality has been transformed.

Yip, agree too. Ditched the Bridgestones a fortnight ago for 4 Falken FK452s at £500.88 fully fitted off Black Circles. I struggled to find the rears in stock at many places.
The ride has been improved immeasurably, its so much more comfy and the handling has begn excellent so far. Not had a chance to really test them for wet or slippery conditions yet. One of the nicest things though is how much less tramlining the car does.

Swapped mine last week. I got a price of £600 from pro tyre for Pirelli P Zero Rosso's 225/40/18, 255/35/18! Only problem was I needed them that day and they couldn't do then until the next day. So I went for Hankook ventus v12's. The ride is much better, but on initial turn in they aren't as sure footed, but after a few days I got used to that. They do offer a lot more grip though. They cost £550 from the tyre place round the corner from my house.

Couple more questions
I take it these are the ones evryone is on about?
What do you do when you get a puncture?
Am I right in that runflats can not be repaired?
Can these be repaired?

Cheers

What's the wear like on the non RFTs & the Michelin ZPs?
I'm at 32k miles on my original Bridgestone RFTs & still loads of life left - especially the fronts.

+++ ditch the Bridgstone run-flats for any of the above (I went Falken  ) or another brand of RF if you feel you need them

32K you must drive like a girl

Ditched my runflats for Vreds a couple of months ago.
Just over £600 IIRC from Black Circle inc fitting at my local Alloy Wheel Centre.

Thats a fair price, if your running with out runflats you will need a tin of tyre seal (£3 in asda at the moment) + a compressor or a foot pump either of which will cost a tenner unless you go for a decent model in which case 20.

Runflats can be repaired but not many places will touch them as you are not supposed to drive on them ??? as it ruins the sidewalls,,,, hence not many will repair.
the falkens like normal tyres can be repaired (obviously depending on the damage, but that the same for all of them)

Hope that helps

Cheers

This is what I bought when I ditched the run flats.

Plus two cans of tyre weld that fitted nicely in one oil pouch.
