Got to wait 3 years for it though! :o

You would have good reason to pull over to the left if that hove into view in your mirrors on the motorway.....agree ?

Doesn't do it for me I'm afraid......

I remember seeing the original at the 1980 British GP at Brands Hatch (the one Alan Jones won!) not long after it came out - beautiful car.....

PS. LMFAO! Just got down to the bit about the '1.5 litre hybrid engine'......is it April 1st or something? Plenty of street cred there i don't think...you wouldn't exactly be lifting the bonnet show your mates now would you - jeezuz! :poke:

But if they deliver the performance they're stating it's going to have then who cares how big the engine is?? in fact it's amazing... a 1.5 litre hybrid doing 0-60 in sub 5 sec!!

but its like having a moped engine under yer bonnet, not exactly inspiring is it! and can you see it being as smooth as a 6-pot??? I bet it goes nying-nying-nying-nying-nying like a scooter LOL

Get used to it - that's the way it's going to be pretty soon! :poke:

Think about it-our inline 6s have the performance of V8s of 20 years ago. If I can get better performance, reliably, from a smaller engine, I'm for it. Just how big do you think F1 engines are?

Why wait for 2012 when the world's fastest eco-friendly car was built in 1972... well, sorta.

Small engines with turbo's seem to be the way its heading, i was shocked when i recently found out that the new corsa with its 1.6 engine has 193bhp and with a simple flash remap its putting out nearly 220bhp...crazy times :driving:

Size doesn't always matter OR so I'm told......

Well I for one would be much, much more impressed looking under the bonnet of a car 1.5 litre engine and hybrid drive train that could get to 60 in under 5 seconds than I would the same car with a 3 - 4 litre number.

Brains vs brawn.

I don't know why people get worked up everytime Autoexpress photoshops a new BMW and screams "new M1!" on the cover, they seem to do one every 6 months.

Me neither, Auto Express are forever producing photshops of cars without having a clue what they're going to actually look like. What bugs me is that unless you read closely, they try to pass off the photoshops as actual car models...
