It would be great to see this icon back - I also remember a piece in eighties Car where they test drive a Batmobile versus a new Sierra Cosworth .

It's a bit Jekyl & Hyde for me tbh - some of the styling cues are awesome, but some are horrible... Like the side on shot of the rear arch with the line up to the spoiler. Bleeeuuurgh

And whoever signed off the (fake ?) wood dash inside a car that looks like that needs taken outside and shot...

Not sure about the steering "wheel" for road use... The original looks fabulous too

If it's got a racing steering rack in it I'd imagine you don't have to move the steering wheel any more than 1/4 of a turn to get full lock. Not very practical on the road though, as you say.

I'd stand in front of him- 3.0 CSLs have wooden dashboards I like it - but then again I have a brown interior so can't be trusted in these matters

Not sure this will ever get made. But I think they are making an M3/4 GTS which might end up being called CSL. I'm sure that's already been seen lapping the 'Ring in disguise.

I like it, mostly, but if anything I just like that bmw are still doing different stuff, it might have looked nicer in white with bmw stripes,

I hope the glow rear lights integrated spoiler (like the type r concept) makes it onto something in production

I cant get myself to like this!!!! Im probably one of the biggest bmw fan/ freaks out there, but i think the styling on this plus the colour doesn't cut it. Hopefully it stays a concept and another updated csl returns
