New battery

Mine is black and BMW branded - i need to faff and get back into the boot to confirm the specs. Will go and buy a new one on Weds, probably with the intention of upgrading to the larger size for longevity.

Can't seem to see any AGM Bosch ones on http://www.eurocarparts.com/car-battery though :/

I ended up getting mine from:

I've no experience of an M, but before I bought my Z4 I had a 123d with stop/start and was told that because of that it had to have an AGM battery.

As it got towards the end of it's life it no longer stop/started, then a warning light lit up (a good thing) but because it was wired into the OBD and stop/start set up it had to be told when the new battery had been fitted (a not so good thing).

Sytner quoted about £300 fitted, but a BMW indy supplied and fitted one for just over £250! :(

Good to know one thing will be cheaper for my Z4C!

To be honest I don't think the stop/start helped with battery life (it only lasted 4 and a half years and 54K miles) and then at 6 and a half years old and 77K miles the starter motor decided it had had enough of this world! (£600 fitted at a dealer)!

So I am not a fan of stop/start, and after that turned it off every time I got in the car (I know this isn't Z4M relevant, but plenty on this forum have another BMW product so I hope it helps someone).
