New Battery - Which to get?

Guys,

It would seem my battery is on its way out.. I am trying to get a new one but without removing and measuring it I have literally no idea as to which one fits..
The current one is the original BMW battery which has a date stamp of 18/06 so it is probably well past its sell by date!

It says that its a 70amp/hour and 570 amp with 570 cold cranking amps - this bit isn't the issue.. I just want to know what sized battery to get..?

Also anything to be aware of when changing the battery on my Coupe.. such as coding and alarm going off etc?

Cheers,
Dan.

If you go to http://www.eurocarparts.com/car-parts and put in your reg, then select 'batteries' it gives you some suitable options. The Bosch S4 or S5, Duracell Premium or Excide Premium will all do the job.

I bought a Bosch for one of my other cars today, use code BLACKFRIDAY and a £113 Bosche drops to about £76. They deliver free or you can collect like I did.

Don't shut the boot without a battery connected, you'll probably have to reset clock an maybe do a window reset

thats one i got for coupe , then get 15% off

I also have a Coupe and original battery but it's 80ah, 640CCA. I measured it in situ and it is 275(L)x170(W)x190(H).

Take you keys out before you disconnect the battery. :!: When finished connecting, Put the keys in turn the ignition on do not start the engine everything will set itself in about 30 seconds .

Cheers for the reply guys!
However, I done a battery test and my current came out fine and I thought that I would give it a charge over night.
There was no difference in the "Starting speed" per-se so I am suspecting I have a lazy starter motor...
