Well it's time for a new car battery. 3 and a half years old and not a premium battery I don't think. The cold weather hasn't helped and now looses charge in under a week.
Not really possible to trickle charge where it's parked.

Seems The replacement should be a 019
All the sites I'm looking at state length is 353mm
I can see that the area where it sits and is that size but there is a bracket which sits proudly on the left side to clamp the battery down.
The battery that is in there at the moment as this arrangement with the battery itself only measures about 310mm in length.

I'm looking at getting a Yuasa Silver line 5000 is there an offer at GSF right now and it should retain good starting power.

Anyone here bought a battery for the E 86/ si
That was listed as 353mm but fits?

There are a few battery sizes fitted to the E85/E86, accommodated by a mounting adapter in the battery tray, so it depends which adapter is fitted to your car. You can change the mounting adapter to fit a different sized battery.

You're right legin, all the battery Stockists list the longer size of 353mm which won't fit.
The clamp mount is integral to the whole compartment so cannot be moved and sits proud
.
I'm Guessing the adapter for the clamp size is the smaller batteries?

I got a 110 yuasa silver line on offer now at GSF for £94

i dont know how they all ended up with this duff info. I told Tayna but they weren't interested in checking or updating the database. I think the Yuasa is better than the Varta as I find them under stated capacity when tested, same on my F type.
