Hi,
Could someone recommend the best place to buy a new battery for my 2016
Z4 1.8i.
I am not sure which make to buy.
Thank you.

Tayna appears to be recommended but it will need to be coded to the car as well - 70AH AGM or maybe 80AH AGM if you have S/S - others may recommend alternate batteries

Oh and this is in the G29 section rather than e89

For an E89 you need to post the question in the E89 section not the G29 section.. :tumbleweed:

You need a 70ah or 80ah AGM battery

70ah will suffice

Tayna is a favourite supplier..others are available

Varta, Yuasa, Exide, Bosch are some of the premium makes

Yuasa gets my vote , I have them in everything from bikes to boats , and they just work and keep working , they are not the cheapest but on a cold wet morning there is little worse than turning the key in a lorry for it just to go click.

Worries me as well

Come to Spain and that is all the time batteries last for. In our brand new Fiesta the battery went in less than 3 years and in the our 2017 Golf I had to put a new battery just a few months ago! Something to do with the heat apparently batteries don't like it. I fondly remember the days when I never changed a car battery for 8 years or more

I remember my dads mk4 Cortina limping to the scrapyard after 17 years service, the battery had outlived the car!

I use Duracell in mine (they outlast any other battery according to the bunny on the advert) so that's what I use.
However, it's smarter to fit Varta. I must stop watching the adverts.

Hi,
I have never heard of Yuasa batteries before.
Can you tell me who the supplier is in N.I.
It really depends on the cost compared to
the other premium batteries available.
If you are a new member welcome to the Z4 forum.
Thank you.

Two plants in the UK, one in Swindon where they supplied Honda and one in Ebbw Vale - just up the road from me.
