Hi,
I think my 2004 3.0 convertible Z4 needs a new battery as its not being used much at the moment and electrical items are starting to play up, Remote door locking only operating on the drivers door, Roof operating occasionally, Centre Sat Nav radio not poping up as it should, can anybody advise me what the exact specs are re, CCA, CAPACITY/Ah etc
I think I would like a heavy duty one as the car will only be used once or twice a week now the winter is coming.

Can somebody give me the standard fitment specs and something a bit more heavy duty.

Many thanks

Neil

Had same as you and went for a bosch s5 800.
If i remember its 77ah and 770cca.
Ctek ms5.0 was also a solid investment as i won't be using mine for long periods.

Thanks Chris,
Just an update in case anybody else finds this thread later on.
I've just put the new battery(2 mths old) from my Nissan QQ 1.5 dci which is an 096 into the Z4 and all my problems have disappeared immediately.
I do find this mysterious as the old battery always started the Z4 even after a short lay up!!
Anyway the old battery is now in the QQ and it also starts that fine.......
All I can think of is maybe the Z4 has a strange system concerning the power supply from the battery

The zed is notoriously voltage-sensitive.
A ctek would still be a good investment.
