New badges

What are peoples thoughts on replacing the bonnet and boot badges, currently mine are peeling and look and bit tatty so either way I need new ones,
Shall I just stick with OEM style or go for carbon fibre look ones?

I've also seen these which could be the best of both worlds

Let me know your thoughts :)

Was one of my first mods changing all mine to black carbon ones instead.... The dealer was impressed when it went for a service?

Personally I think anything but OEM for badges is really tacky. Especially the carbon fibre ones even on a dark car. Mine came with CF wheel badges and they look awful, but just an opinion!

The newer wheel OEM badges are nice! OEM all the way

I'm a fan. Carbon (black and silver) badges all over my black roadster. Personally I love them, and couldn't care less what anyone else thinks - though I have to say the blue and silver are too bling for me. Everyone who has seen mine in person are surprised at how good they look, because when described their initial reaction was like Tom's - and TBH I would keep an M stock anyway as it would lead to peopl who know no better thinking you'd just stuck M badges and a quad exhaust on

My only problem with them has been local neds nicking them when it was parked outside at night - now solved as the car lives in the garage.

Gets my vote - should look great on grey

I have seen them on cars all round and I dont no they just dont appeal to me. They also spin around and dont sit correctly because they are cheap and tacky. Got some proper new OEM badges for my CSLs with the silver outer look very classy. The Carbon ones just dont do it for me im afraid.

i think the carbon looks fantastic on your car tomscott, especially with the darkened wheels and those lovely bright orange calipers, what a wonderful color combo, i love it :D :D

Thanks very much! I think the orange was a good choice too really sets the car off! Ye granted they look better on darker wheels, but the newer style OEM ones are a lot nicer If BMW made the carbon fibre ones I'm sure they would look much better

So the ones I got for my wheels were a little loose, but I went semi-poverty spec as I expected them to be nicked first... How more wrong could I have been  However they are very good quality wise and I have simply used a bit of silicone to keep them in, and they stayed for 4 months of winter driving. The body badges were not cheap, and very high quality. Now changed to my summer 108s and swapped in the wheel badges, but here are some previous pics :

Carbon badges look like they have been photocopied on a B&W printer. :?
But I do think I like those orange/red calipers. Are they just sprayed, or sppppecciial ones?

All about personal preference. I dont mind either. Go for the style you prefer :)

Im sorry but is this really a life changing decision ? just fit what ever ones you want, what difference does it make what anybody else thinks, its your car.

+1 ...though it did change mine because as a direct result I can, for the first time ever, polish, was, Hoover, gaze at my car in my garage
