New Back Boxes Fitted! Before and after video

A few people wanted a before and after video. A couple of things:
1) I know the car is filthy, so is the weather.
2) There's a lot of wind noise on the "before" section (around the first 15 seconds) but most of you know what a standard M sounds like.

I'm pretty pleased with the results. They're not too boomy in the car, nor are they offensively loud. I think the balance is about right. As far as I know these are modified the same way Exdos did his.

Thoughts?

Sounds great for the first 20 seconds rev up :P needs a drive by to really hear a difference.

They have a definite rasp to the sound in the second part of the video but what have you had done ? Are they modified ///M back boxes ? bit more info please mate.

They're standard M back boxes, cut open and converted to straight through as per Exdos' thread. I bought them from Pilchardthecat.

I just need to do the little air box mod and see how it goes.

For those that didn't see the threads, this one documents it I think.

Sounds a bit meatier, but not offensively so, and still has the rasp. Like  :driving:

Bing - you approve of the change to your car then? 8)

I was going to say that :D

I can't believe you both think I would be so crass as to measure every mod to Stuart's car against it's perceived future value  :D

It's more to get an understanding of what stays and goes before she finally finds a new home (at some indeterminate time in the future) :D

Well in that case, as a neutral observer and completely impartial trusted advisor, I'd say you're doing an excellent job of minimising the work you will need to do at said indeterminate date in the future
