New AUC 35is

Hello again, I was on the forum for a very brief period a few years back when I bought a 2010 23i but had issues with the car. I managed (after a lot of agro) to reject that car, but the bug never went away so a couple of months ago I went AUC and bought a 2014 35is in mineral white, with 26k on the clock.

I debated which z to go for for over a year and decided I’d regret not going all the way. I went AUc to avoid the potential headaches I suffered before. I won’t say it started out well, as within 100 miles I had issues (intermittent starting issues, hood issues, and then complete failure of the indicators and high beam while on a 400 mile trip) I got fobbed off by Barrons of Farnborough (where purchased), but had the best experience with Vines of Gatwick and just got the car back from them with all the issues sorted, plus a tank of fuel, courtesy car, and a valet. They were fantastic, and not a single pennies cost to me. They even noticed a leaky shock absorber and replaced it while they had the car. Anyway, the car is awsome, the problem now is I can’t find enough reasons to drive it! :driving:

Just thought I’d say hi again, and share some photos.

Very tidy looking motor, it looks cracking in white although my own is a shiny black effort :driving:

There are plenty of comments about main dealers on these boards, the dealer in High Wycombe when I picked mine up a few years ago were shocking but my local dealer did some warranty work without fuss and restored my faith in the brand.

Been hit and miss since, thankfully I've not had much reason to visit them "touch wood" :?

Lovely looking E89 OP!

And it's good to hear that your ownership experience seems to be better this time around.

Excellent exterior/interior combination. Cool car.

Now, use a hair-dryer & WD40 to remove the 'Z4' from the boot lid. It'll make the rear look much better. Then have the wheels checked for cracks and dump the runflats, if the car's still on them. Michelins have a good press. (I use Pirelli P Zeros.)

I wasn’t sure at first about the interior, but now absolutely love it. I had silver with black interior previously (with the silver accents inside) which I thought I wanted again but seeing the black gloss with Kansas?? interior on white exterior I was sold. The mineral white is stunning. All round a great car, very happy. The engine/exhaust sound is also pretty sweet. In comfort mode a little heavy and sluggish (to be expected I guess) but the car turns into different beast in sport plus manual mode. Those pops are something I won’t get bored of quickly.

@busterboo, had the wheels checked before purchase (learned my lesson the last time) and got a a new rear due to cracking along with 2 new tyres. Unfortunately they are run flats but I will replace with non run flats as soon as they need replacing. I fear with the condition of the roads I may need more wheels by the time the next MOT comes around!

Interesting re the rear badge, may have a go at that next weekend.

I would probably have bought that car but when I called up Barons after seeing it on Autotrader it had just sold.. From your experience I'm kind of glad I was too late! Glad you have everything sorted now though.
