Montego Blue Coupe manual si sport with champagne leather (1/3) has finally landed in South Wales. This has been a bucket list car since I first laid eyes on one back in the day.
Also a BIG THANK YOU to everyone on this forum ( you know who you are) that helped make it happen. It will have some tlc detailing before any real use ready for the summer, but what a car for the money.

Congratulations Tom - that's a lovely looking Coupe.

My Montego Blue Coupe went to South Wales when I sold it!

Not the same car then? Only asking as this car was serviced by my local garage and friend from around 2016 to 2020 before going via London to Halifax.......

Thanks guys for your comments, it just amazes me than my daughter recently bought a 2014 Citroën C1 with over 50k on the clock for just a few grand less than the price l paid for the Coupe.

Told the wife "mine's faster than yours"........ ..........and rarer...... :driving: hehe

No, mine had a Pearl Grey interior. I'd have preferred Champagne leather as it's Nappa, but is probably rare because it was a cost option!

You're right about them being a lot of car for the money. I fell in love with E86s in 2008 when I bought a diesel 1 Series, then 6+ years later I replaced it with my first Coupe. And now I seem to be addicted to them.

Thanks guys, I don't think it's ever had detailing work so can't wait to get her sparkling again, headlights need work, the interior should scrub up nicely once I've repaired the divers seat bolster wear and I'm tempted to refurb the alloys but the way they stand at the moment there smart enough to do justice to the car but not so nice that I have to worry about damage or brake dust corrosion.

Very nice, here’s some ‘teasers’ for one with corrected paint…. As you mentioned detailing :D

Congrats Tom - looks great!! :D

Lovely car. Judging by a couple of those pics, it looks like car has brick slips down the side. Now theres a thought, wonder what car would look like with a brick wrap.
