:o

How long will the filter last?
The 30ppm in the 12" version in a hard water area will last around 30 rinses. The 30" versions last around 2.5 times longer.

75 rinses for £89.95!!! Think I'll stick to hand drying :) I always use that part to check for scratches etc. anyway.

I won one of these in the Z4 Lakes meet 18 months ago and it's a superb bit of kit.

I set my hose sprayer on the hose to a slow speed and fine mist so it rinses with the minimum volume of water to try and make it last and it really does dry spotless

Hi

yes but that is just the problem, you are checking for scratches that may have been caused by using a leather in the 1st place

Nope, I'm checking for scratches that may have been done by old women with bags as they pass the car! :D I always use a microfibre cloth to wash and dry.

Nobody uses leather to dry these days.

Good old fashioned rain water for me though.

There was a member here that started making these
and they could be refilled very cost effective

Way too expensive though, I use the DI vessel which cost about £75 for 4 refills and each lasts about 6 months washing up to 3 / 4 cars a week.

The concept is perfect, just that Aqua is a very expensive way of performing it compared to the cheaper alternatives of using DI vessels.

Hi

Thanks for the info .. what part numbers do you use? and what supplier

Nick

I used cleaningspot.co.uk

http://www.cleaningspot.co.uk/acatalog/De-Ionising_resin_and_water_softener_resin.html#aPVMF

I have the 11 litre version with resin.

On the same page is the refil sand.

I remember years back there used to be something that did this job that used to clip right onto the end of the garden hose, can't for the life of me what it was called though. something magic, or something clean, streak free....can't remember...hopefully someone will know what I'm on about!!! Think it was only about £10 to buy and lasted a while.
