I finally got around to fitting my new shiny wheels today. I went for a set of 18" Racing Dymanic RD2 rims on a staggered fitment shod with Dunlop rubber. Perfect on the back end with the arches filled to the edge. Spent 1/2 a day lavishing 2 coats of Autobrite Very Berry wheel sealant/wax so should protect them for a while. I just need to get a new set of wheels roundels to finish them off.

A big shout out to BM Autosport for the wheels. I would highly highly recommend them if you are looking to replace your wheels. Very professional and knowledgable. From purchase to delivery in less than a day as well.

I am amazed as to how improved the ride is on proper tyres as opposed to RFT's. No tramlining, doesnt bounce in and out of UK's potroads as much and (although could be a placebo effect) seems to handle better.

A quick question for the techies on here. The roundels that came off my 103's are too small to fit onto the new wheels. Do BMW manufactuer different size ones????
 
To the best of my knowledge the wheel roundel is now pretty much a standard size across the BMW range however I forget the exact size, you may get lucky and find something that will from from e-bay or similar, I don't even think older design BMW Wheels will help much either

Looks like the standard roundel is 70mm. The problem seems to be the clips on the rear of the badge are right on the edge (so to fit a 70mm OEM BMW hole). The clips on the rear of the roundels that came with the wheels are inset to fit a 55mmm (possibly 60mm with a bit of force) hole.

Does this mean I am buggered in regards to changing to BMW ones ? I wanted to buy a set of CF ones as on ebay but they are 70mm so wont fit.

Need pics! Can you buy just the logo part of the roundel and keep your smaller clips?

I have this minute emailed this ebay seller to see whether i can get the logo only to stick onto my roundels. Problem is they are 75mm so the above 65 would look a bit out. I think the bonnet (or boot) roundel is about this size so see what he comes back with.

Oh, and a good tip off about the Autobrite wheel sealant. Leaves a fantastic finish.

They seem to have loads of logos/badges so hopefully will have something to fit.

Got a second coat of Very Berry on today - smells so good :D

I would recommend washing the wheels with car shampoo not a dedicated wheel cleaner like Bilberry etc. They clean very easily with just shampoo and it will make the protection last longer.

What final cost did they come out with for the Z4 and what Dunlop tyres did you go for?
