'New' 911 styling

I'm a lifetime fan of the 911 but wish they would either try something new style-wise or better still stop the bloat, it's looking bigger in every incarnation, maybe better in the flesh?

they do look terrific in the real world ,
apart from the wing mirrors looking like an afterthought leaving them to borrow a set off a lexus 220D :o

Aren't they lighter than their 997 equivalents though?

I like the new design with the exception of the big P O R S C H E badge and rear lights. I much preferred the subtler badging on the outgoing model.

As a slight aside, I saw my first 997 GTS the other day. They're very nice!

They look better in the flesh than they do in those pics. At least the coupe does, never seen a 991 cab but it will no doubt look like an upturned bath tub the same as every other 911 cab.

+1 on the tailgate badges.

I quite liked my 997 TT Cab! :(

They look very nice in the metal. The lines look much sharper than the pics and actually the new 911 is fractionally longer by 15 mm or something so it's not discernibly bigger it's just the illusion of the styling I guess.

There was a few at the Porsche (obviously) Sunday service at Silverstone and they looked fantastic.

Ah yes... but that 15mm extra length makes all the difference

Still a fabulous car and wish i could afford one but the early 70's 2.7 Carrera is the one for me. :)

I was mooching on Pistonheads yesterday (always a bad sign for my wallet) and looking at 993s and 964s. Some of those are really appreciating fast... :?
