It's a big car but I like it. Wouldn't say no to a 640d :sweetheart:
New 6 series... It's just not nice

I actually like the new 6, well more than the old one. So far it is the only new shape bmw that i like. It feels as if they started the new front end with the 6 in mind and bled it into all the other models. I've seen several of the convertibles on the road and think they look good although i do think they should change the name from the 6 series to the Bismarck.
And in reply to tomscott, just because new blood needs to make it's mark and there is a marketing need to change design doesn't mean that change is always an improvement. After all beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure BMW will keep on selling shed loads of cars and plenty of people will love them. I love the shape of my e89, plenty of people hate it. For me it's one improvement BMW managed to make and i wouldn't have bought a z4 previously. The new 3 series (2012) in my opinion is an abortion and doesn't have any of the appeal the e46 had. Plenty of people on here disagree about the e46 being a great car. I don't think everything on the forum is negative about new design, i just think they're passionate about what they like, as you obviously are about new design - champion what you like
it's part of what makes this forum great.
For me good design combines aesthetic appeal with function - at the moment BMW design doesn't seem to please on my eye, there may be function in there but the balance is off. Changing design and promoting it as great just because it is a change doesn't get me excited about buying a car.
