Hi all,

I've lurked here for a while and made a few topics on other things but finally got some pictures of my 3.0si I picked up last month so thought I'd introduce myself and car.
The car was bought via the forum from Aleks, not sure if it was around before that.
Its a 2007 3.0si
grey
pretty standard spec 108s, auto lights, rain sensors and all the normal electric heated seats etc

I originally wanted to wait for a car in black with red leather plus really wanted xenons, but they seemed like rocking horse s@#t and i'd already sold my previous car so went for this one as it was a good example.
However I do love the colour and more importantly cant get enough of that straight 6.

Its already got a ZHP gear knob, parrot bluetooth kit, non RF tyres and had the sound generator mod, so its pretty set as it is for me.

Here are some pics anyway:

Thanks for looking :)
P.S. I'm from the Sheffield area

Very nice ross, do you know which grey it is?

You can see it's being enjoyed - that's how my exhaust tips look after a good run. Microfibre cloth and a bit of metal polish and they glisten again!

There's a few forum members in your area so you should be good for some hoons.

That straight six is infectious!

:driving:

Hi and welcome. How refreshing to find a new member who has a) a nice car, b) a camera, c) who takes pics of his car and d) posts them!!

There are many out there who cannot claim all of the above . You know who you are!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone

I have no idea, presume the grey shade is listed on the door sill or something? If I'm honest I didn't know there were multiple greys
Hah yes, the exhausts are in need of some autosol treatment! I have been hoofing it a fair bit, in fact my MPG is quite terrible being 24 at the moment :(

Love a silvergrey zed any day! What colour is the interior?
Just plain old black, but in great nick! Every other car I viewed had terribly worn bolsters..

Haha, thanks for the appreciation!

Hi, lovely cars arnt they, especially the si models!
Not long till next summer
Indeed bring on spring/summer! Just need to get it through winter now as it's a daily, although my almost completely worn rear tyres are going to be an issue I feel. However this does allow me put my favorite GY eagle F1 rubber on sooner in prep for the dry(ish) weather!

Nothing wrong with plain old black, smart combo!! But yes .. Colour is "silvergrey" ! 3.0si is a great car.

Welcome Ross,

Funny how car purchases pan out. I had planned to view your car on my return from holiday, however Aleks told me the car

had been sold.

I can see why now

Not complaining mind...ended up buying an Z4MR :driving:

Enjoy the car, I'm sure we'll get together as there are a number of members within 30 miles of each other :D

There are quite a few shades of grey used on the Zed and it's sometimes difficult to pick up which grey it is from a photo. I ask as I was wondering if it was stratus grey.

You'll find that when you use the performance the fuel consumption does topple very markedly :o - then it's much more difficult to build it up again! :( When transiting to a meet I can average 38mpg but it takes a lot of restraint and a very light throttle foot, something it's nearly impossible to keep to in a Zed! :D As soon as the revs are used that average plummets! As I was told by my specialist independent - if you want the performance you have to pay for it - mine is commonly in the low to mid 20s when I'm using the potential of the engine. It is useful though, to know I can cruise to a meet in Scotland with a much better fuel economy - the ability of the 3.0si to do this is often commented on by forum members.
Been quite a few owners fitting GY Eagles at present - me included.

:driving:

It is silver grey according to the advert when it was adveretised here http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=67473
