New 19s fitted

Be careful about lowering just the rear. When I first fitted my coilovers the rears were too low. It completely upset the balance and made the steering at the front end go all skiddish. It's much, much better now.

Nice wheels, great look. :D

The front isn't too bad but the rear looks way too high.

I agree but im confused as to best way of resolving this?.
Would it be bad practice to lower just the rear?
Im happy with the front as it is. Or do i just go upto a 35 series tyre??

I've run different springs front and rear on an e46 and it actually improved the ride. There are a couple of members on here running different springs front/rear without a problem. I'm sure they'll chip in if they see this thread.

I'm actually liking the Skyway Tuff II's on that BMX hangin there! that from your youth?
I had them in white on my Kuwahara KZ then transferred to a Diamondback when I broke the Kuwy frame on a quaterpipe footplant 360 gone wrong. *rubs nose* broken on the fall too. ouch.
happy days

Heres a better pic. Not bad for 34 ish year old bike eh.
I still think im eddie fiola lol...but nobody else does😂

Mongoose. Nice
Wish I still had my Kuwy. It was the dogs diamonds back in the day (1983).
Are they CW bars too?

Edit. Found a pic after googling/reminiscing. lol
Mine was almost identical to this except I had a Uni turbo seat. Maybe that's the reason I don't have any kids

Mongoose Californian for me too. White skyways, white sidewall tyres and a coaster. Always wanted a haro freestyler when a friend had one.

Crikey, this takes me back  . I had a Supermax with Tuff II's (think it was an '83). Full CrMo frame - absolutely loved it, and rode it everywhere until I had to give it away when I left the country  . Never had so much fun on 2 wheels since...
Edit - In Australia where I lived at the time, these were branded Malvern Star.

Theres apparently big money in these things.
Ive had numerous offers for mine from people who have spotted it, but I'll never sell. I get so many fantastic memories every time i see it. Theres a few marks on frame and i can still remember the pain i felt when i put them there lol....

Knew I had a pic somewhere - this is my younger brother riding it in the back yard of a friend's house :)
