New 05 Z4 3.0 owner with a couple question

Found a low mileage (45,000) 2005 Z4 3.0i that I snagged up. Mechanically seems fine but the drivers side seat has the backing falling off.. It looks like someone tried to put double sided tape on but it only holds for so long... I tried a search on here but couldnt find any solutions. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also one of the cup holders is jammed but that seems easy enough to fix/replace.

cup holders are pricey for what they are, so fixing is preferable. im chuckling that you bought a car and thats all thats wrong with it...

The driver's seat backing coming off is a common thing, and seemingly not something easily fixed. I gave up after a few attempts and have only just now solved it by swapping the seats out for a set of M3 seats  might be a bit overkill for most folk.

Well I've only spent a couple hours with the car so I'll report back with any other issues I find ;). I do see the rubber molding around the front window is pretty worn out but I can't complain considering the car is 15 years old.

bloody hell your quick, 2 hours and signed up here? , im sure you will find plenty of proper things to worry about

The seatback seems to come off because the tabs at the bottom split - so the expanding plastic rivet screw doesn't lock it in place.

I fixed mine by reinforcing the tab. Been toight as a ship for years now even after taking it on and off a few times to pad my bolsters.

Oh and welcome to Z ownership :)

 Yep, agree with that. Also, trimming back a little of the foam around where the clips on the sides of the panel locate will make it easier to refit the back panels.
Or, upgrade to Msport seats.

Looks nice - facelift lights and side indicators
What are those front brakes?

I take it you're in the US ? Adding your location to the panel on the left might help to keep things clear on any future posts you make with requests for assistance etc.

18" Wheels and spacers will get it looking better instantly.

That is of course a new set of tyres too.
