Never noticed this before (interior mismatch)

When climbing out the car at the BMW dealers in the week the wife points to the transmission tunnel and asked why the two sides were in different colour, Kansas/Canberra-beige her side and black my side. In nearly 2 1/2 years I’ve never noticed! Photos below are from the original dealers for sale advert.

They did that with the G29 concept too. Chickened out with the real thing though. Shame really as I think this is a really interesting design choice and definitely makes the interior a bit more of a luxe place to be than it ended up being.

I went to submit a claim due to corrosion on a roof panel but I’m not going to lie, wanted to have a nosy around this 981.

Whole design was to be driver focused.
