Negotiating Brexit

Watch Verhofstadt at 4.30 when he suddenly gets defensive, arms crossed and all hunched up. They make it up as they go.

If he is typical of EU officials I don't see how we can do any worse on our own!

You really do have to thank f**k the moronic pile of mess Corbyn and his band of washy washy leftie dead head gutter crawling swine fat mates aren’t in that room fighting for us....Verhofstadt would slaughter them and look at what a bag f***ed up crap he is..... :o

A very good demonstration of the art of negotiation - find just one key point that destroys the other parties credibility in substantiating their position & nomatter how right anything else they say is, their position is permanently undermined.

Brexit has divided many friends, I just wish that they can find a mutual compromise ASAP - looking at this, Hell will freeze over before that ever happens

You've really got to get off the fence and tell it how it is

Judging by this post, I'm not sure you should be dishing out judgements of anyone being a "bag of fucked up crap". Or perhaps you're well placed to understand the requirements to be labelled such...

This sentence, "You really do have to thank f**k the moronic pile of mess Corbyn and his band of washy washy leftie dead head gutter crawling swine fat mates aren’t in that room fighting for us" really is quite something. I'm not even sure where to start on how fucking stupid it is.

Wow you are a stressed out hothead aren’t you..!! Put your dummy back in and chill son.

You clearly don’t have enough education to accept others have a different opinion to yours, so all you can do is hurl insults around, very classy. Why not put your views on the topic down instead of mouthing off at others. Do you have a viewpoint or are you just looking for a row?

Grow up.

It doesn't matter what your political views are about Rees Mogg but you have to agree he destroys the EU negotiating position on the Irish Border issue, we declare a unilateral free trade agreement with the EU and lets see what they do.

I saw it to be much more than that.

RM used it to make the EU state their position about ‘rules’... how important it was for the EU to follow them.

RM then destroyed their credibility by demonstrating, over a few examples how they didn’t follow the rules when it was in their interest.

Consequently, he clearly won the argument they’re simply a set of guidelines, that can be revised for everyone’s benefit, demonstrating the nos 1 skill in negotiation... destroy just 1 primary element of credibility, puts everything else into question...

I'll itemise this in order to make it easy for you to digest:

1. Actually, I couldn't be less stressed. However, I will call out nonsense when I see it and your post was exactly that, with a nice sprinkling of hate-filled tripe too.
2. Calling me "son", not sure you could be more aloof or patronising if you tried. Highly unsurprising though.
3. Don't have enough education? I'm university educated and a top-level student from start to finish (including studying politics). Not that I need to qualify myself to you, but I'll humour you.
4. You do realise that your post that I responded to literally contains 3 insults? How are "moronic pile of mess", "washy washy leftie dead head gutter crawling swine fat mates" and "bag of fucked up crap" remotely valid points and anything other than insults?
5. If I thought for one second that I'd get meaningful discussion from you then I would happily express my views. However, when someone posts something as stupid as you have posted I don't exactly feel inclined to engage on a complex level as it's pretty easy to see how you communicate. Now that I've seen your hilarious, juvenile, and patronising manner I'm fairly sure I know exactly what to expect from you and would get absolutely zero stimulation, challenge or sense from talking to you.

You tell me to grow up, oh the irony.

You really are too stupid to see past a banter filled post but with a serious meaning aren’t you, i’ll spell it out so you can try to understand: I detest Corbyn and his party for my own reasons, that is my right just as anyone else has the right to follow a party of their choice, if that’s ok with you of course. I wouldn’t enter into a discussion with such a one dimensional stressed hothead as yourself, you clearly have anger issues.

Why do you feel the need to tell anyone that you’re a ‘top level student’, are you not comfortable with yourself, or just an inexperienced immature mouthpiece? I think I know which....

I don’t come on here to have rows with people, especially those happy to hide behind their keyboards and get nasty at the slightest provocation, so I’ll tell you what, stay off my posts as I have zero wish to say anything more to you, everyone is different and each has an opinion, hopefully you’ll learn that when you’ve grown up.

I have nothing more to say to you.

Nope...just an unprovoked attack by an obviously very wound up stress head...if that winds him up so much he needs to see someone about his anger issues. I hope nothing ever bad happens to him, he’ll fold up like a deckchair in the wind.

The EU will bend the rules when it’s in their interest to do so, the Greek bailout a point in principle and it’s nothing new, I still see workers freely smoking in our plant in Germany (as an aside, this flexibility or lack of was our own undoing, as in, we play by the rules) What JRM wants is a borderless Ireland AND no deal, which is not mutually compatible and is not in the best interest of the EU to do so, why is anyone surprised by their actions in these negotiations.

One of the interesting things to come out of this whole fiasco is the wording of Article 50, basically all treaties will terminate two years after instigation. Nowhere within the Article 50 clause does it say that we can negotiate a new deal, instead you are to prepare to leave all treaties with the other states and those agreed by the EU with countries outside the EU. The EU IS bending the rules by trying to negotiate for a soft Brexit.
