Negative reaction to the Zed by spectators?

One doesn't get grief from passers by in Germany. They have rather strict rules here for defamation/name calling. Just ask the guy whom called another fella an Arseloch for taking a parking spot he was waiting for. The guy who was called a name complained to the police. The name caller was called into court. The judge fined him one months wages. When asked how much he made in a month. He lied. The prosecutor remembered an article about that guy. Seems he owned an apartment block and made 50,000 euros a month. So that's what he was ultimately fined for calling a person an arseloch :o

What one does get here in Germany. Is an endless stream of hot hatches and even smart cars on your back side itching for a go. Or most every Audi. The Audi's don't seem to want to race. I think it's just that Audi owners are taught that tailgating is normal.

Hard to tell what Audi model is behind (which is where they stay due to the immense understeer they have) As they get so close to the Zed. All I can see are their fetal alcohol syndrome bloodshot eyes glaring at me.

Sounds like a couple of tanked up, jealous, morons, who would have picked a fight with a nun driving an ambulance, given half a chance.

Never had any hateful comments about the Zed. Just the usual hairdressers banter and such, usually from the next door neighbour, with the MX5. :D

Genuine LOL !

To the OP... Right thing done just walking away, they are not worth your time, energy or tears. Feck 'em, idiots. I have only had one or two shouted 'w***er' or 'dick', none have been brave enough when I have been stationary - only good comments then. I've never even had the hairdresser compliment anywhere but on here from the coupe'd up crew

3. "do you have insurance, your not on the database" ... that's odd because a few weeks prior I had been pulled over (read above) and my insurance was checked and I was on the database. ( part of me feels I was singled out because it was a sunny day and I was driving with the roof down.)

Haven't had any problems in the Coupé

Ever thought it might be you the're after not the Zed. Now they can't see who's driving.

Or, in their eyes it's just another of the thousands of hatchbacks on the road so they ignore the coupe :fuelfire:

BWWAAAHAHAHAHA! :ROFL2: Good one Bing.

Wait! I meant to say Bad Monkey! Bad Bad Monkey. No pudding for you.

I had a bunch of chavvy t**ts in London shout at me from up in a tower block, about 2 weeks after I got the Zed. People don't seem to expect a 26 year old to be driving a car like this. I just turned up my music and drove away laughing, it's pure jealousy and nothing else!

I'm sure it's just the fact that 1 you don't see a 2 door car very often just as a Lamborghini so it's obviously an expensive car! Ha and 2 it's a BMW so that also means its as expensive as a Lamborghini lol.

But I don't get bad comments except for the time I was sitting in the parking lot waiting with the roof down in the ghetto and a girl with friends walked by and said "ain't no body wanna see that!" and they all crammed in an old civic and drove off haha

Actually I get more positive comments from homeless people at the light "that's a cool car"

I think it's mainly that the car looks nice especially if you keep it sparkling clean they don't realize it's a little 2003 z4 not a 2012 or such.

But when I do go through a bad part of town I get nervous this might happen to me
