Sunday before last I went up to York to stay with family for a few days. Snow was forecast so I put the snow socks behind my seat just in case. We had sleet and snow flurries in York. The car was filthy by mid week but the usual car wash guys I have used before whilst away were not playing out and as it happens it would have been a waste of money anyway as the roads were wet and salty. On Friday we moved over to Chester for 3 nights to visit the area as Mrs B had never been. We did the tourist bit round Chester on Saturday, and then Port Sunlight, Liverpool Docks, and Formby Point on Sunday. Leaving the hotel on Monday we went over to Quarry Bank Mill, Styal on Monday morning (managed to get the top down as it was cold but sunny) and then headed home through the Peak District in the afternoon stopping at Ashbourne for lunch. So we did about 700 miles and had a good drive in the Zed especially through Derbyshire but she's absolutely filthy now so that's tomorrows job.
