Need to replace Run Flats on 2007 2.5si Roadster

Hello all

I've read a few of the posts on the forum and whilst there are quite a few favouring the Vredestein Ultrac Vorti as better value for money I have also seen the following on MyTyres. I'm thinking of going for the Goodyears. Has anyone got any user experience that can help me choose?

Many thanks. :D

Worth comparing prices on tyreleader.co.uk
Not sure on the others but the Vortis on there would be around £50 less than mytyres on the set of 4

I can confirm they are a great company, I ordered the vortis sunday and they can yesterday morning, great service, great speed and great tracking service :)

Also was much cheaper then any other companies for 4 tyres by a long way :driving:

I also just changed from the OEM Potenza run flats to Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric on the same sizes / ratings as you quote (extra load version too, not sure it makes much difference but should be a slightly stiffer sidewall. Nowhere near runflat stiff though!).

Considerable improvement; to be expected going from well worn to new tyres. The ride is a lot more forgiving though. Bumps are a lot softer. Great grip. Less road noise too.

I had the Eagle F1s on a previous car, so favoured them, along with a good price. That's the only reason I didn't try the Vredesteins. I hear they are great too.

My 2008 3. Osi Z wears Potenza RFT,date on these tires is 2010. The BMW manual states the tires should be replaced every 6 years. My Z has only 36014 miles and is always kept in our garage when not being driven.

These tires show very little wear.My Z is not driven during Winter months. Should I plan to replace these tires next Spring?

I have thinking of selling this Z so this has some bearing on my decision.

just replaced all my run flats with F1,s, there mint, runs great, less noise and sticks like s**t to a stick, all four tyres from black circle delivered, £398, dhould have done it years ago, also got my wheels refurbed at the same time, black powder coated with a crome front mist finish, looks great now, Gennie wheels huntingdon, £325.

Changed all 4 on my E89 Z4.

Tried to get hold of Dunlop Sport Maxx RT's 6 week order wait.

Anyhow got a different set, tyre fittting company ended up busting off the locking wheel nuts, new locking nuts fitted, all 4 alloys showing signs of severe damage removing the original tyres.

Not happy, will name and shame if the Head Office doesn't come up with a compensatory offer.
