need something to charge your ipod/satnav/roadangel?

I have just ordered one. I could not use sat nav on my iPAQ this morning because it wasn't charged last night. But I think I will remove it from the car if it is not in use.

Ok Ok I am going to bite... i don't get it? How can you close the cage becuase surely the cable would still be in the way? I am just back from the office so I think I am being blonde. Any pics of it in action? :headbang:
LOL. You'll still need to unplug the cable I guess regardless of it being a USB connection or a cigarette lighter connection. But it's certainly a neat and very useful bit of kit as all of my devices have USB leads for connecting to the PC, but only my TomTom has a cigarette lighter adaptor.

I've ordered 3 :D - one for the Z4, one for the wife('s car), and one for the van. Will be great for charging phones, MP3 players, PDA, TomTom, helmet camera (LOL), etc while I'm away camping in the van without electrical hookup...

Just adding an alternative, I've bought one of these:

EDIT: Only £2 delivered (from China)

Glad you pulled this old thread up, was meaning to for a while now - I bought mine a few weeks ago, plugged it in and left it, with the little LED at the top so that no light emits from the ash tray. Anyway got in the other day and there was a slightly worrying fizzing sound! Pulled it out slightly to switch off.

If you had just pulled it up a little that sound was probably a bad contact. Crackles are most often due to nothing more than a poor contact.

No-one has had drained batteries then? I left mine out whilst not in use just to make sure as the light stayed on ...
