Both - is the socket perm or switched live? Perm I assume?

It's one of those things, I know it will be fine and the current draw is v low, and if it had no light I wouldn't worry - but just having something on all the time does worry me. Especially when mine isn't driven very regularly, although I suppose that is minor, compared to a tracker - which mine may or may not have

I read somewhere on this forum the Z4 had a sleep mode (after 15 minutes) for things like this, but mine seems to stay powered permanently so either there isn't a sleep mode or the 12v supply isn't effected by it.

good spot, just ordered one myself, going to replace the big fag lighter charger for my tom tom with this and a longer usb cable, will look a bit tidier and the added bonus of running anything usb i suppose ! a few month back i lookd for something like this and belkin were the only ones doing a flush one, looks like they have been knocked off in record time

I just did a quick search and apparently it is only the iBus (stereo etc) that goes into sleep mode, that must have been what I was thinking about
