Need some Bass in your sound system

Over the past few months I’ve been debating what would be the best solution for introducing some bass into the car and keeping it discreet.

After looking at various under seat subs, Pioneer was chosen for its low profile and it just fits under the drivers seat.

The second option to give more all round bass was to use the cubby holes behind the seats and use another Pioneer Sub.

These subs fit nicely in the space, and then using the original shelf inserts, remove the shelf part, and glue on the speaker material.

To eliminate any vibration, I lined the floor of the cubby holes with some draft excluding rubber, and then mounted the subs on some Velcro strips, to secure them in place.

Interesting approach! How does it sound?

Does the seat still drop to its lowest setting with the sub underneath it?

Sounds amazing and yes seat does drop to lowest position. You need to remove some of the carpet under the seat to get full clearance,
