need more storage space

Hi Guys,

I wonder if anyone has a good solution. I'm off on a 'boys' trip later in the year and need a bit more storage space of tents etc. Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket rack that goes on the boot ? I don't want the BMW solution storage box !

Any great ideas ? :driving:
 
How much space do you need?

I do many boys weekends and you should need a 1 man tent, 24 case of beer, toothbrush and a credit card.
 
If you are that desperate for space, you can buy the bits (which are really cheap, about £10 UK) to put a another storage box under the drivers seat, which is infact the first aid one under the passengers seat, but you put it under the drivers seat :D
 
with the z4, the trick is to NOT have the hard luggage. instead, put the clothes in bags so they can fit in the wells. i did that and was able to fit enough luggage space for 6 for a 5 day trip. remember to fit the bigger/harder items first

Most of the stuff will be parts to keep the other cars going :driving:

A storage rack would be 100% if i didn't have the spoiler, and I want to take the Z because it's mine and I want to have some top down action. :thumbsup:
 
IMO you could easily fit a 2 man tent, case of beer....well 2 cases beer in the trunk. The trick....is getting an icechest in there for your beer and food. Put it in the passenger seat?

BMW do a standard Z4 cooler that fits in the passenger footwell. I think it's great - excuse for no passenger and a cool drink at the end of a spirited run
 
use the fishing line trick to remove the spoiler, mount the rack, then get the double sided trim tape and put the spoiler back on when you're done.
