Need info on icelink uninstall

Have to remove my install of the ILP. Don't have the install instructions and couldn't find any on the net for my 2005 Z4. Had it hooked into the radio. Not sure about plugging the radio connector back into the radio; that is, do I simply remove the ILP's connector and plug the radio's connector into the back of the radio? Or, are there some other wires that I need to know about? I forgot whether or not I had any wires into the fuse box and was there a ground wire?

Just remove the ILP wiring loom and reconnect the OEM loom to the radio.

Also remember to reconnect your CD changer if you have one.

Thanks. Sounds simple enough. This is what I thought it was, but wasn't sure. Now to remove the radio to get to the looms. Got the instructions on removing the vents, but not the radio. However, if I remember correctly, once the top center vents are out, just two screws on top of radio does the job. BTW, I'll probably be getting a Dice and install in the truck. As I don't think that I'll be needing to handle the ipod, the trunk apoproach appears to be much easier than the radio approach.

There are indeed 2 screws on top, hidden by the airvent. The radio will slide out to the front then once removed.

Careful with the DICE - there are a number of differnt camps on that one, some positive - some negative. I selected the Intravee over the Dice but I have the SatNav screen which uses a lot of the functionality of the Intravee. However, it still works fine on the business radio - with similar functionality as the Icelink Plus had.

Thanks pvr for the heads up on the Dice vs the Intravee (new to me, but I'll look it up even though I don't have nav). Also, perhaps you could mention some of Dice's negatives?

I have found what I was looking for. Wasn't all that easy as many of the sites had been discontinued and I had to do some reading between the lines. Anyway, this link will show some nice pictures on the vent and radio removal from a Z4:
