I have the center rear console out, but can't figure out how to get the side panels off (see pictures of the panel).

I'm trying to get them out so I can run new speaker wires and RCA cables.

Can someone advise the procedure or link to a How-to?

Thanks,
Chris

edit: sorry guys, had the pictures linked through another forum. Please see the attached pics now.

Don't know of anyone on here having removed those, best bet is to get a copy of TIS as that will tell you exactly.

Can't see it either so not sure which panels you are referring to ...

I have taken most of the inside out.

Fixed the pictures (I hope). As srhutch stated, the panels in question are the ones over the factory subs (not the speaker grills). Also I need to know how to get the rollbar covers off (think they are preventing me from removing the panels).

Chris

The roll bar covers pull off, you need to use a spatula or similar to lever betweenthe two half's. You will break some tabs though and they not to damage the edges.

a credit card usually is a good starting point.. no i dont mean paying someone else :P use an old one around the edges and it should pop off

Got them off this morning. Turns out you need to pull the rear of the trim to get the front panel off (two screws on the top).

Sadly the roll bars are welded in (better than bolted but messed my plans) so I can't chrome them. I'm in the process of sanding and painting them black (I always hated the plastic roll bar covers).

Thanks all.
