Need help in Selby, North Yorkshire

Right, some of you maybe wondering why I went all quiet after picking up my ///M. Reason was I found a major descrepency on the service history which wasnt apparent at the dealership. This ruined my weekend as there was little I could do at the point in time.

Yesterday the dealer took the car back and has given me mine back :( and a full refund, so all that's lost is some time off my life and half a tank of petrol.

So the hunt is on for a replacement as I have got the ///M bug.

I have found a car that seems to tick all the boxes, but its 200 plus miles from home, so was wondering if anybody in the North Yorkshire area would take a look. The dealer is more than happy for this to happen, as long as you don't turn up out of the blue.

Linky of car I'm intrested in http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3142054.htm

If you can help can you drop me a PM.

thanks
Steve

Gutted for you :o - but at least the matter sorted with only time and £30 or so gone. Could have done this for you but not back in the UK until 10 October so sorry not a lot of use but hopefully someone will. You live to fight another day... :)

Thanks Alan, there is another I'm looking at which is closer to home, but the Imola Red seats are nice :)

That's crap at least you spotted it and you have not lost anything serious.

Need to update your sig again :poke:

Might be north starting a new thread with its reg/dealer info to warn other interested parties.

I intend to start a thread about the car as a warning to avoid, but not the dealer. I have a relationship with them I don't want to ruin, they did the decent thing and without a fight so can't really complain. The problem is BMW AUC cars don't have to be serviced 100% to BMW service specification. As long as the dealer is happy with the car then they can AUC it, you may just have a problem if you need to claim under warranty.

Selby is a little far south for me, I do however plan on seeing a coupe in the Durham dealership in the coming week. I'll report back to you, personaly it has to be a roadster but there's not many to look at around here.

Thanks Herminator,

There is a link in my first post of the car I'm interested in, not sure it was to clear so have moved and highlighted.

shame about the car, but at least you managed to back to your older motor

sorry I am not close enough to Selby

sorry to hear about all your troubles, but at least you got it sorted quick.

don't be down hearted as the right car is just waiting for you to find it

Hmm I've been eyeing up that car too
Although I'd want to knock the price down a bit and remove the rear spoiler.
I need to sell my 840 first though and see a couple closer to home.

Maybe the 2.5 is destined to stay with you :poke:

No chance of staying with the 2.5si, it been stripped of non original parts now. Going to look at one closer to home very soon, having only owned one for 100 miles or so, I can safely say there is no going back now

Please hurry up, I don't want you dribbling over my bonnet each time I see you :D

I thought you'd taken it to the Netherlands to have it specially coated / protected against exactly that?
