Need hardtop guidance, please.

With a bit of luck, through a relative of a friend of a friend, I might have a shot at a [cheapish?] hardtop :)
The hardtop is currently fitted to the car (which I understand is waiting to go to the great car park in the sky), and from what I gather is complete with side panels, but no tool or instructions.

So, if I do indeed get the opportunity to drive half the length of the country to remove the hardtop - how do I do it when I get there?
Will just a standard set of allen keys get it off ok?
Is there any special way to remove the side covers for access?
Any notable tips to swapping the hardtop between the two cars?

In fact, does anyone have a copy of the instructions/manual that can be scanned and posted here or emailed?
I've searched the forum and found a link to to a copy - but that was stored on dropbox...

I sold my hardtop with instruction manual included just last month :headbang: I should've taken photos of the pages first

Anyway, no special tools needed. Any Allen keys will do the job, but the hardtop did come with a double ended Allen key which has both sizes needed to loosen both side and front locks.

Everything is pretty simple to do. Just need a bit.of care when lifting and installing.

Here you go Sidewaze Sam. As you can see the special Allen key tool is double ended. It is an 8mm Allen key that looks the central lock by the rear view mirror with a small cylindrical section on the other end that is 6mm diameter. This turns the two sidelocks. If you have a 6mm and 8mm Allen key then you will be fine.

That's great, thanks.
Now just need to try and set up my trip.

Looking at the page numbers, there must be other info in the manual - maybe someone can make a pdf of the whole thing and stick it somewhere useful?

Hey mods! :poke:
