Need an LED bulb for my side light?

I need to change my side light bulb as it is orange, I have heard that people change them with LED bulbs but most of them give you a warning light on the dash which I do not want. Just so you guys know what bulb I'M on about ill include a video of the one I want to change.
This is for the halogens and I think it's a 501, if anyone has done this with no warning light or other problems please please send me the link for the bulb :D

I have also heard that people have trouble getting the bulb out of the the unit :(

Help would be much appropriated as you guys have helped me so so much since I got my Zed

The pic of the bulb you have posted doesn't go with the headlight. Yo need W5W capless wedge type bulbs for the headlight. The bulb you have pictured is for the facelift Zed.

So you have the "dim" halos around the inner lights? In which case, the black plastic bulb & holder you posted is correct as you have the later lights. You can easily remove the bulb from the holder, there are plenty of posts on here about it.

I can just go with any W5W Bulb and they won't give me a warning light? if so we are in business :D

Mine look really weird now one is bright orange the other is white I linked a video it looks really weird I can give these a try thanks for the link :D
 
Don't bother with LED lights that have the CANBUS warning cancellation built in as they don't last. Either stick with halogens that last forever anyway or get something like the Philips LED lights and turn off the warning. There are a lot of members dotted around the country who can code basic functions.
 
Philips/OSRAM LEDs and code out the checks is what I recommend. The ones I have fitted are still going strong, avoid CANBUS compatible as said above, it's just a load resistor and you usually still get the flickering of the bulb checks.
 
I had several CANBUS bulbs burn out within a few months. After reading Steve's comments on another thread a while ago I switched to Philips and they were fine for ages, still working when I sold the car.

No, we were talking about LEDs. Whiter 'upgrade' halogen bulbs will have a shorter lifespan than standard but be more of the colour you're after.

Good quality LEDs with the checks coded out are the best option IMHO.

Do you have a link to any you would recommend? i'm looking just don't know what to go with, I don't want to be wasting my money :/
 
I bought the 4000K ones and they were perhaps a little too yellow compared to my HID kit which was meant to also be 4000K but was actually slightly closer to 5000K.

I imagine 4k is pretty close to standard xenon bulbs, apparently my xenons are 4350k so seems to be the closest colour temperature
 
4300K on mine with 4000K LED side lights, which are a little yellower than the headlamps.

If you get a set of Philips then you will have to code out the checks.
