NEED ADVICE ON TYRES

Hi, thinking of buying a Z4 with the 18 " wheel upgrade the tyres are - Fronts 225/40 R18 & Rears 255/35 R18. The tyres need replacing so have been phoning around and the cheapest seem to be the Bridestones but they are £195 each for front and £240 each for the back which seem really steep! Can you put non runflat tyres on? Been told you can just carry the tyre weld foam as there is no spare wheel? What prices have you been quoted?

Thanks

James

Welcome to the forum James :)

There are many many threads on this - try searching for "Falken FK452" and itll pull up threads galore! That is what many people go for on here as a sound alternative to the runflats. These largely help eliminate the very harsh ride quality and tramlining of the Bridgestone RE050's

From Camskill.co.uk they were about £100ea for the rears and £65 fronts. Add on £10 a tyre fitting and carriage and you're paying around £380 :)

And i have a large can of tyreweld just incase!

I dont think you need to tell your insurance about consumables like discs, pads, tyres (at least you're not swapping for crappy Budget or Remould tyres!!)
