Need a locking wheel nut or standard nut.

I've just washed the car :roll: and noticed I have a locking wheel nut missing, can only presume the garage have misplaced it.

Can you buy them from BMW?

If not, what size are the standard bolts? I'll see if I get a standard one in the mean time.

Yes you can get them from BMW BUT when was it last in the garage and did they take the wheels off. If they did then get back there - resist thumping the counter and shouting at the service technicians and politely tell them of their error and that potentially they have put your life that of your passengers and other road users at risk - be calm and ask them what they are going to do about it. Sit down (again calmly) and await a response......
 
Having had a wheel off while driving on a previous car i can totally agree with above... not only could it have been a costly mistake on their part; could have been very dangerous for yourself and others.

I presume you still have your locking key?

Maybe they just left the bolt attached to the key in your toolbag?
 
Have the key but no bolt. Will go to see them tomorrow. Have a feeling how it will go and won't be using them again.

Follow the sensible advice above. Once they have given you the wheel nut free of charge...then kick off :x, mention the word Suing a few times closly followed by "i will be writing to the local news paper"........might get a free service......then tell them where to put it and never go back again... :?
