Need 12V when the car is unlocked

It there any way of making this happen? I could go thru a relay like the actual door lock wired to trigger a constant 12V. But of course if there is any way of tapping into a existing 12V when unlocked-line that would be great. I bought myself a new music streaming gadget that uses airplay (wifi) and it takes like 30-40 seconds to boot up and it would be perfect to have it powered on when the car is unlocked and not just regular switched 12V ignition.

Anyone? :)

Can you not take it from the courtesy light ? That fires as soon as you unlock.
You should then be ok to pick up with a secondary feed from an ignition live only.

I'm sure someone with more electrickery knowledge will chime in, but it sounds like you want a latching relay

Maybe the above an have it trigger when alarm is deactivated, putting power to the air play, an when alarm is activated it unlatches an powers airplay off, does the airplay cope with power just been killed.
Op where are you based as I know people that love the kind of stuff, an can do amazing things with 12v an a relay
