the e85/e86 looks so cool lowered with some nice wheels!!! damn.....

Totally. And it's annoying that BMW have only gotten their act together in the past couple of years re. OEM brakes.

A £400-£700 option on the current range! Oh the injustice...

even their latest offering aren't that great compared to a top end aftermarket setup.... My AP setup is probably the most commented on thing during passenger ride. Bit of a squeeze under 18s as they sit inside the barrel of the rim!! performance from them is mind bendingly good!

Thing is, you've always had a performance focus with your car so the expense is justifiable and the aesthetics are mostly a nice bonus (make that a *very* nice bonus - they look badass). But many people who buy sports cars just want brakes that look good without ridiculous expense.

It's just annoying that mates who have gone the PCP route have been able to tick a "performance brakes" box for another tenner a month, which means their family wagons have calipers that make the Z4s look anodyne in comparison.

i hear ya... looks was the last thing i purchased these for tbh.... BBK has become a very nice "look" option for many people, personally i was more than happy with my stock brakes, they just couldn't deal with what i put them through... hence the painful upgrade cost.

The BBK makes the Zeds setup how it should have been stock, i understand that someone like Beedub has a BBK with his weekend tracking which is spot on  however looks wise they are also a good buy for anyone.....how many of us have painted the OEM callipers and hubs due to then goin brown lol

i hear ya, would you guys not consider just using the oem 4 pots like above??? i see them on eBay for like 500 quid!

The 325 front discs are pretty good for normal fast road and occasional track days. (not optimal but get the job done) Very cheap upgrade
