Near to buying a Z4M roadster...

My must haves were -

50k miles or under
Full BMW history or specialists
Sat nav
PDC
Updated speakers
Cupbolders (I hate blanking plates)
6 cd changer
No modifications
Any colour apart from yellow or Titan silver

None of the many I have looked at have all of this, so a compromise will need to be made

PDC, cd changer and cup holders can all be retro fitted. My friends business installs a PDC system that fits under the bumper, no exterior signs its fitted at all.

You could also say this about the sound system. However it seem quite a popular option on m's.

Cd changer can be retrofitted, but I am not sure what they cost. Is it possible the loom won't be there ?

As for the sound system, I have read that if you get one with the basic 6 speaker set up it is not possible to upgrade it in an OEM fashion... But to be sure you'd need to do some searching on here.

All achievable but will take time. Do you really need a changer? Did you not see the sepang car that inkey just bought, was that not of interest?

It has a 6 CD changer.

I really need a changer.
Never saw Inkeys up for sale, do I must have been too late on that one.

Still interested in the Nottingham ones.

Just checking Vin info and then will go up to view on Saturday.
If it all checks out will drive it away same day.

Don't have cupholders though. Just blanking plates :headbang:
Future mod.

Good luck for Saturday.

Inkey$ was on Pistonheads - very occasionally some make it on there but not AT, so worth checking.

Good luck at the weekend

It's weird, as we mostly stick to pistonheads as the AT site drives me mad!
We started out looking for trader only ones though, so wouldn't have been on our radar if it was a private sale one.

Fingers crossed for Saturday.

I just really want to be driving one now!

The steering wheel alone is so much nicer than on my zed

I just drove mine on a quick spin out.. It's worth the wait mate...

I seen one for sale in Kent at a garage but inter blue and it just didn't look special enough... Might have needed some deep dish wheels :-)

Well we won't be going to visit the black one now!
Nottingham have us the list of garages and numbers who had done the services and we have been calling around them to clarify the work today.
One of the oil services wasn't even an oil service it had only had a new filter an 1 litre top up.
Therefore its gone over 30k miles without an oil change.
They are trying to sell that as a full service history!

So back to the drawing board for us.

That's pretty bad darts.

Take your time to find the right one. It will be pretty obvious when you've found it, in my experience.

The Z4M I bought, I discussed it with the seller at around 10pm and had bought it by 8am the next day. The reason for that was it was OBVIOUS the seller had looked after the car - even before I went to look at it.

+1 Good advice. Nothing like a searching but friendly phone call with a list of questions.

Absolutely - or even better, hopefully the seller is decent enough to write a good advert in the first place. Here's the advert for my old car. You couldn't ask for much more!

No way. Must be a typing error. Who would change filter without changing the oil. Strange.
