Near Bitche, France

Just out for an afternoon cruise. And found this nice shade tree beside the road going to Bitche, France. About 1 1/4 hours from my village.

I doubt it. Far to many pros around the forum to even bother entering again. I'm just a hobbyist. Don't even own Photoshop nor am I likely to get it.

There's a lot one could come up with when a village has that sort of name.

There is a hill that the village is built around. On top of this hill is a citadel that is about as big as the town it's self. It looks like a giant gray battleship hovering over the village. It's the only place the French didn't get their butts kicked during the Franco-Prussian war of 1870. Due to the fact they were hiding in that huge citadel with it's 50ft walls on top of a 150ft hill.
 
I was very near there a few weeks back on my way to the Vosges and Switzerland, back through the Black Forest.

Nice part of the world.

I was on two wheels though :thumbsup:

We tour the Route Du Vin De Alsace on a regular basis. Strasbourg is only about 1.5-2 hours from my house.

You better hope she doesn't somehow get on the forum. Lest we read the headlines. Zed4 removed from mans buttocks. Authorities are mystified as to how it got there.
