NC 500

We have had a 3.0 Highline (Auto, Grey, red leather seats) for about 2 years now and have completed a few tours, including Scotland. Areas visited include parts of the West coast, the Great Glen and around Skye. One particular highlight was going over the pass en-route to Applecross. We are considering going back to do the complete NC 500 route and I wondered if anyone has already done this, what their views are. Any tips of places to visit, where to stay etc.

I / We are also planning the NC 500 this year so would also be interested to hear any recommendations ,also any points on the best time ie weather/ midges .

We went mid Sept last year. Good weather and before the nights really start to draw in. No midges.

Mid September is the time we were thinking about ,at the end of the holiday season with still some daylight in the evenings,thanks for the info.
