Excellent trip, as other have already said, make the best use of any fuel stops especially above Ullapool.

From Inverness round and back to Inverness is around 500 miles. Fife to Inverness is another 150 miles. So 800 miles, or thereabouts. The car should be fine, the roads should be fine, the weather, so so. Just better to know other people’s experiences. I drove the car home from London when I bought it so another 800 miles should be no problem...... I hope.

I found there to plenty of fuel stops. Left inverness next stop Ullapool 202 miles. Ullapool to wick 230 miles. Wick to inverness 116 miles. Not sure on your plans for stops but I didn't have any issues. Hope the weather stays fine for you, it makes such a difference. Enjoy the trip

5 nights. Inverness, Gairloch, 2 nights in Durness, one in Brora then a blast home.

Just south of wick are Whaligoe Steps. There is a cafe at the top run by a published chef. Very reasonable HUGE portions and a view to die for. If your hungry have food here. If not, it's worth a stop for a coffee or home made ice cream and a walk down to the sea

I had Mrs Tidy with me so had to stop a few days in Edinburgh, a couple in Oban, one in Inverness (rude not so seeing as my Dad was born in Muir-of-Ord) etc. so my trip was spread over 2 weeks.

Mind you it was 1,750 miles altogether as we started off in Berkshire!

I'm sure you'll have a great time OP - and the miles shouldn't be a problem.
