NC 500 run

Covered the NC500 this weekend and had a brilliant weekend for it. Roof down the whole trip apart from about 30 miles getting back into Inverness cos it started raining. Lots of bikes, loads of campervans and every second car was foreign but I didnt see a single Z4. No-one to wave to.

On the plus side, I averaged 37 to the gallon. :D

I also did not see a single Z when I did the NC a few weeks back. Probably because the forum trip happened a couple weeks before that.

Averaged about 22mpg though

I got back from Scotland Monday morning, but took the hatchback  I remember taking the Z4 up there years ago, nightmare!

I never tire of being there. It's such a beautiful country. The majority of people know how to drive also, unlike down here

Fair shout not a lot you can do on narrow roads behind them, but enjoy the view sideways. 8)

Thats a great photo 8)

Unfortunately with a pregnant missus and a week's worth of clothes and other bits, there's no way I'd get away with the journey up there, let alone the driving around whilst we are in scotland

Not to mention the fuel economy is just a little bit better in her car

I do love a good scenic photo. This was the view out of a window of a wedding venue we were looking at. Absolutely beautiful.

We tramped on in a few places (where it was safe to do so obviously) but it was so hot and clear that the scenery was breathtaking. Was just trying to soak it all in. Now we have done the official route we might just make up our own next year but found some amazing roads that we will factor into the next trip.
