I have a 2008 Z4 coupe 3.0si with a faulty Navigation screen :( during the day the screen is very dim, at night just a black screen. Im looking for a replacement Nav screen if anyone has one for sale?
 
I have one that I bought for the casings, so it is in pieces. The guy I bought it from said the screen worked but that was not of interest to me. Let me know if it would be of any use to you.
 
Thanks for the reply and offer GOM :thumbsup: thats well out of my league though was looking for a plug out and plug in change. Have been told it unlikely that i can swap a single part to get it working and probably needs a new screen. Im clueless with electrics though so still digging. Can i get back to you if you still have it then?

It’s not hard to swap the internals. Which will effectively replace all the electrical components.
 
It was really quite easy to take apart, a number of screws and little clips. These units rarely come up for sale, although I do remember seeing a faulty one on here a short while ago.

Ah ok didnt think it would be easy to strip apart. Once the weekend is over and i can finally get the auto electrician round for a look ill ask if swapping the parts will sort the issue. How much are you selling for? I was told by a local garage that it might be the dvd drive thats faulty but that makes no sense to me. Surely that would only affect the nav screen and not all the other menus and functions but my screen is dim all the time. Like i said though im by no means an expert. Ill be in touch, thank you. I dont suppose you have any pics of the internals?
 
I sent a reply ages ago and ive just noticed its in my outbox folder but not the sent folder, i tried a few things to see if it had failed but still the same...did you get anything through?
 
Anyone able to help with this? Forced to sell the car but i cant let it go till this has been repaired. Any help sourcing a nav screen would be greatly appreciated
